Mike McDermott: was raised in an 1881 Century Home until his 20’s. Mike has had an appreciation of how construction was done, as a home owner of 5 houses across Canada, from the Maritimes to Alberta, he has seen how building techniques have changed and improved. His 30 year career in the beverage industry included Sales Manager; Account Manager; and Sales Equipment Manager, where a great part of his time was spent in the installation and specifying equipment for customers; working with fabricators and trades people, which has given him a unique insight into the inner working of how buildings are constructed.

In his early years while completing his high schooling and attending college, his work experience varied(Air Frame mechanic RCAF Auxiliary; brick layer assistant Stelco). Mike has built his own basement rooms and renovated his many homes. Mike's greatest learning experience of all was assisting in the building of his mother’s cottage where as he says “you really learn how to create and modify with pride.”  Mike enjoys the challenge of inspecting and meeting the people who are venturing into the home ownership experience. Mike compiles his reports with honesty and integrity.
