Introduction  Marta has been around the construction industry since she was a little girl, helping her father with roofing, cabinetry work, renovations etc.  If it meant picking up a power drill or hammer she was ready to do the work.  Her father being a Master Electrician wanted her to pursue a career by being an electrician, she discovered this just wasn’t for her.  When she met her partner, who is a main contractor, it opened her eyes to home inspections.  She has gained hands on experience by being on his construction sites and working with him on projects.

By growing up in a century home that is over 125 years old gave her many opportunities to work on numerous renovation projects.   These projects taught her a lot about the ins and outs of working with lath and plaster, how to bring the project together with modern materials, straightening out walls, ceilings, getting rid of nob and tube and even rewiring the whole house with bx.  This was not only a challenge but also an opportunity to show her true skills and fashion sense. With a certificate in Interior Decorating she lets her creative side shine by doing faux finishes on walls for her home and later also for clients  

She has done home inspections for over two years, dealing with century home inspections as well as one year warranties and PDI’s.  Her main goal when inspecting a home for clients is to educate and give them a better understanding of the home that they are purchasing, she also offers staging services to her real estate agents.  As a homeowner, you want potential buyers to leave with a positive impression created by properly placed furniture, colour co-ordination, that “I want to live here” feeling.
